There are two health visitors for the surgery. The health visitor provides support to the parents of pre-school children and also supports the elderly population.

The flying start area is covered by Debbie Broom and the remaining area is covered by Merenna Williams.

Merenna assists the Primary Health Care Team with child health and where necessary provides domiciliary visits to the homes of the under 5s and the elderly. Merenna runs the baby clinic here at the surgery. Infants are invited to attend for routine medicals / screening at 6 weeks and 9 months. This is by appointment only. Between 14:00 and 15:00 hours parents are welcome to "drop in" whenever necessary for routine advice on the care and development of pre-school children.

Patients who want advice and information on all aspects of child welfare and health promotion can contact Merenna on 01873 735559 and Debbie on 01873 735424. Please leave a message on the answer machine if no-one is available to take your call and the health visitor will get back to you.

Flying start clinics are run as weigh and play at Acorns Centre on Tuesday afternoons.

Merenna is available Monday mornings by appointment only. Your child will be offered health and development checks between birth and school start; your health visitor will advise you of this.
