Childhood vaccination schedule

The routine childhood vaccination schedule in Wales was updated from 1 July 2025. Public Health Wales and Welsh Government should be used for the most up-to-date schedule.

Adults

Some vaccines are offered routinely to adults at certain ages or to people with certain health conditions. Your GP practice, pharmacy or local health board can advise what you are eligible for.

Pregnant women

In Wales, flu, whooping cough and RSV vaccines are routinely offered during pregnancy. These vaccines help protect you and your baby.

Your child’s vaccination appointment

Your child will usually be invited for routine vaccinations when they are due. If you think your child has missed a vaccine, contact your GP practice.

Why vaccination is important

Vaccines protect against serious diseases. They also help reduce the spread of infection to people who are more vulnerable, including babies, older people and people with weakened immune systems.
