It cannot tell you where you are on the waiting list. It is designed to help you understand how long people in your Local Health Board area are waiting.
Understanding waiting times
Waiting times can vary depending on your condition, clinical urgency, speciality and location.
- Everyone is an individual, and your care is managed based on your clinical urgency.
- Patients with more urgent clinical needs will usually have shorter waiting times.
- There are national waiting time targets, but waiting times can be different by speciality and location.
- The NHS is working to improve waiting times over time.
Keeping well while you wait
It is important that you are supported to keep yourself well while you wait.
You can use NHS 111 Wales health information to find advice about symptoms, conditions and general wellbeing. Your local health board website may also have further information and support.

Specialities with fewer than 200 patient pathways waiting will not be reported.
