Monmouthshire Social Services
Social services can support adults, children, young people and families who need help to stay safe, well and independent.
There are two main sections within social services: adult social services and children’s social services.
Adult social services
Adult social services aim to help you manage your own life in your own home, or in a residential setting if you are unable to live at home.
Children’s social services
Children’s social services offer support for families, including child protection, children in need, fostering and adoption.
They work closely with other agencies to protect children and young people and have a duty to take action where they feel a child or young person is at risk of harm or abuse.
